James Bond



Bond...James Bond. Almost everybody has heard these words at some point in their life, and maybe that's because James Bond - in the movies - has been around for 50 years. Writer Ian Fleming actually published the first James Bond book - Casino Royale - back in 1953 but the first Bond movie - Dr. No - was released in 1962.
Many actors have played the 007 agent and Bond is well known for his guns, gadgets and women but probably best known for his cars. What's your favorite James Bond ride?

There have been so many great Bond movies over the past 50 years, but my favorite are the latest films starring Daniel Craig (Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace). I'm so excited about the release of the next James Bond, Skyfall. It opens in theatres on November 9th and returns Daniel Craig to the role of 007. I'm planning on a "date night" with my husband on 11-09-12.

Forklift Operator I don't know if there's anything more awesome than watching my child experience things that I got to experience in my childhood. For those of you who know my family and my background, you know that I was raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina (and when I mean in the mountains - I mean literally, IN the mountains)! Throwback Thursday

If it's Thursday, and I'm looking on Instagram , Facebook ,  Twitter or any other social media app, I'm going to see #TBT (if you're not sure what #TBT is, don't feel bad because it took me a while to catch on to what it was too). Since "Throwback Thursday" is getting more and more trendy, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and use my Thursday blog to share some throwback memories! In 1994 (yes, Joe Diffie was probably rockin' on the radio), my family moved from North Carolina to Indiana. Even though we only lived in Indiana for 4 short years, I made a lifetime of memories. The Best Is Yet To Come

Matt & I  - Little Rock, Arkansas Texas Road Trip 2008 5 years ago (this month), I went on my first road trip with Matt. Matt's Mom was moving to Texas and I decided to ride along with Matt as he pulled a trailer from Indiana (he stopped in Tennessee to pick me up) to Texas. I have heard that it's a long trip but we were so busy getting know each other that the time flew by. I have to say that being stuck in a vehicle with somebody for that long is a good way to figure out if you like them or not. :-) Lucky for us, it was just the first of MANY road trips to come. 4 years ago (next month), I moved to Indiana to be with Matt. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made, but it was definitely the right one! Moving to Indiana helped me grow in so many ways.
