He holds my future

As some of you know - maybe from reading previous posts - Matt has been traveling to Charlotte for work during the week days and home to Greeneville on the weekends. This is getting exhausting for all of us. It's hard living apart and it's starting to wear on us. We feel like after much prayer and discussion that the Charlotte area is not the right move for us (at least not at this point). After so many closed doors, we finally are taking the "hint" that maybe we need to explore other options...again.

One of the options we looked at was the possibility of moving to the Northern Kentucky area. Matt's  brother works for a Heating & Cooling company in Cincinnati and they (the company) were willing to giving Matt an interview. It wasn't a guaranteed hire, but it was definitely a foot in the door. If we took this option, we would be taking a chance that Matt would actually get hired, we would have to move north and commit to living there for at least 3 years. In one way, it seemed like such a great opportunity. But, as we talked about it, went through the details and weighed out the pros and cons, it wasn't what either of us felt like was best for our family. There are SO many factors in what made us pass on this potential opportunity but I must say that now that this is no longer an option, I am relieved.

Matt had an interview with a company on Thursday of last week in Cleveland, TN and we came back yesterday for a second interview. Cleveland is only about 2 hours from Greeneville and it's an area that Matt and I both love. I absolutely love being in Tennessee and if we can stay here (especially in the mountainous part), I'll be a very happy girl. I'm not sure exactly what God has in store for us, but I do know that He holds our future. All we can do is pray, trust and most importantly LISTEN to what He is leading us to do. I don't know if moving to the Cleveland/Chattanooga area is right for us but it feels more right than anything else we have explored so far.

We stayed all night with my cousin Jody last night. He and his wife, Missi live in Hixon, TN and it's only about 30 minutes from Cleveland. Matt is back out in interviews today and I'm sitting here enjoying the visit with Jody (I even got an omelet and toast for breakfast)! It's nice to just simply be at peace that whatever will be will be and let God be in control (worry is a terrible thing). Colton turned 4 months old today (more on that in another post) and I think we might even get lucky enough to have Missi (www.memoriesbymissi.com) take some pictures for us while we're here!
