This week has been crazy. I'm not sure what is going on with Colton. I guess he is just getting over that little stomach bug and he has just been grouching me like whoa this week! My only saving grace is that it has been beautiful and I've just been able to let him run like a crazy man outside! The downside, I had a lot to do this week inside! Being Mommy is my #1 priority so I do what I gotta do!


New Back Splash
A big thanks to my Mom and Dad for keeping the little guy so that I cold finish my back splash project tonight! I can't wait until we can actually fully remodel our kitchen - but I am thankful that I'm able to do little updates here and there to make it more my style. I was in such a crazy mood the morning I decided to start ripping wall paper that I didn't even take a "before" picture (so not like me). The "after" is much better anyway and will hold me over until the next mood hits to remodel something (or until my cash fund refills itself)! :-)

Forklift Operator I don't know if there's anything more awesome than watching my child experience things that I got to experience in my childhood. For those of you who know my family and my background, you know that I was raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina (and when I mean in the mountains - I mean literally, IN the mountains)! We lived on a dirt road near my Grandparents and my Uncle Pat and Aunt Teri. The Best Is Yet To Come

Matt & I  - Little Rock, Arkansas Texas Road Trip 2008 5 years ago (this month), I went on my first road trip with Matt. Matt's Mom was moving to Texas and I decided to ride along with Matt as he pulled a trailer from Indiana (he stopped in Tennessee to pick me up) to Texas. I have heard that it's a long trip but we were so busy getting know each other that the time flew by. I have to say that being stuck in a vehicle with somebody for that long is a good way to figure out if you like them or not. :-) Lucky for us, it was just the first of MANY road trips to come. 4 years ago (next month), I moved to Indiana to be with Matt. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made, but it was definitely the right one! Moving to Indiana helped me grow in so many ways. Brining

I could say I have never heard of the word "brining" before, but that wouldn't be 100% accurate. I think I've "heard" the word but I haven't ever paid attention to what it was...until now! I got a few chicken breasts at the grocery store the other day and I was looking for new ways to bake them. I always bake them because it's supposed to be "healthier" (even though I usually have a bowl of ice cream for dessert)!
